Things to Remember

Pre-MicroSkin Rejuvenation (2 week instructions): Avoid direct sun exposure causing sunburn, waxing, depilatories, electrolysis, laser hair removal, facial surgery, or laser skin resurfacing.

Post-Care Instructions

Do not pick at skin
Avoid sunscreen for the first 24 hours post treatment

Avoid skincare products (unless we recommend) for the first 24 hours
Avoid direct sun exposure for 7-14 days
Avoid waxing or hair removal for 14 days
Avoid any facial laser or non-laser treatments for 14 days
Avoid getting overheated (strenuous exercise, saunas, baths) for 24 hours
Do not use exfoliation products for 72 hours
Do not use a washcloth or any other type of cloth on skin
Increase water intake to eight glasses of water each day
Apply cleanser to clean hand and foam for application
Physical sunblock is MANDATORY. Re-apply regularly

Results

Most patients begin to see results right away, but achieving the incredible results possible with this treatment usually requires a treatment plan of three to six sessions, spaced six weeks apart.

What to expect after treatment

You're likely to experience some mild to moderate redness, stinging, skin flaking, or mild irritation. Most patients leave looking like they have a sunburn. This will dissipate throughout the day. While it’s ideal that you stay out of the sun for the day or two following treatment, no other restrictions are placed on your activities. Most patients will have some light to mild flaking over the next couple of days. The SkinPen system comes with a simple proprietary aftercare system to enhance and complement the procedure, giving your skin the nutrients it needs to heal and restore.
